Basic Poker
Rules
Five card
stud- the dealer will deal five cards to each player .
You ante prior to the deal to be in the poker game. Once
you have received your cards and decided whether you
wish to continue with the poker game. You throw away the
cards you do not wish to keep, and receive new cards
from the dealer. Now you can decide if you think your
hand is good enough to continue.
Generally a
Ace of pair is worth staying in for the first round with
draw of new cards. If you do not get at least a pair on
the draw, it a good rule of thumb to drop out. There is
the option to bluff other players. Making them believe
you have a very good hand when you actually do not. Some
players will fold and you will never have to expose your
hand other players will call you on this.
Like the old song says " no when to hold them, no when
to fold them"..
In all poker
variations it is always the choice if you think you have
a better hand the players you are playing against.
Sometimes a Ace, King will beat other players, but
normally it will take a better hand than that.
